2006 Kawaski KX250
Kawasaki has already won five championships on their KX250F. The 2006 model comes with an all-new aluminum perimeter frame, revised intake and exhaust ports, stiffer valve springs, new radiators, an improved clutch, Showa forks, Renthal handlebars, and an aluminum skid plate. There are too many other refinements to list here, but the point is that Kawasaki is not resting on their laurels with the new KX250F.

When James Stewart was asked what it would take to beat Ricky Carmichael, he answered, “A 450!” Well, he’ll get what he needs in 2006 (though he may show up on a prototype of it here any race now). Kawasaki is the last of the major manufacturers to produce a 450 four-stroke motocross bike. Perhaps they wanted more time to develop the bike, or maybe they wanted to save the best for last. Regardless of the reason, the excitement has been building up to the release of the highly anticipated KX450F. Kawasaki’s flagship model sports an all-new aluminum perimeter frame and a beefy engine that promise to make it competitive in its first season.
