SUPERCROSS CHAMP JEREMY McGRATH ANNOUNCES PLANS TO RACE SO CAL STOPS OF CHAMPIONSHIP OFF-ROAD RACING (CORR) SERIES
Los Angeles, CA (July 26, 2005) — Seven-time AMA Supercross Champ Jeremy McGrath announced today his plans to race the Nissan Off-Road Nationals presented by Lucas Oil — the final two stops the CORR series debuting at Otay Ranch in Chula Vista, just south of San Diego, September 24th and 25th and October 1st and 2nd.
When presented with the idea of truck racing McGrath had this to say, “I’ve watched these races on TV a lot and got to test a truck a few months… all the pieces just kinda fell into place when Baldwin Racing offered me a truck and the opportunity to run out of their pits. This series is really growing and with its arrival right in my back yard I just had to be part of it! These races are a blast and – It’s an exciting, new challenge for me — for sure!”
Competing within a short course format, the Nissan Off-Road Nationals, feature two explosive weekends of ground pounding action, fierce competition, an interactive Manufacturers Midway, open Pit areas with scheduled driver autograph sessions, live concerts each afternoon, freestyle motocross demos and much more – a complete thrill-a-minute, fun-filled family weekend.
