CARLSBAD, Calif., (July 27, 2005) – Deluge Premium Spring Water- backed racer Mike Brown has been named to the 2005 Motocross of Nations team, joining reigning Supercross/Motocross champion Ricky Carmichael and fellow Honda racer Kevin Windham for the Sept. 25th competition in Ernee, France.

“I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am to represent the United States at this year’s Motocross of Nations in France,” said Brown. “It’s been a number of years since the United States won the title and I think for sure this year we’ve got a very good chance of brining it back. Ricky and Kevin are the best 250 class racers in the world and I feel I’ve got something to prove to the Europeans at this race.

“It’s going to be tough, but I like our chances of winning.”

AMA Pro Racing Motocross/Supercross Series Manager Steve Whitelock made the announcement at Thunder Valley Motocross Park, round seven of the 2005 AMA Motocross Championship presented by FMF. “Brown, Carmichael and Windham are three of the best motocross riders in the world and are the ideal team to represent the United States. We’re thrilled that they have agreed to participate,” said Whitelock.

“We also appreciate that Honda and Suzuki have agreed to provide the equipment and support that will give these riders the best chance of winning.”

This weekend Brown heads to Washougal, Wash., for Round Eight of the AMA Motocross Championship, presented by FMF. Last weekend Brown was knocked off the top position in the 125 class by rival Ivan Tedesco – a position Brown had held for six consecutive races.

Added Brown on Washougal: “I’m definitely looking forward to getting the points lead back. Ivan’s been riding really well and I haven’t. So it’s time I pick it up and get back on the podium.”

In addition to Brown, Deluge Premium Spring Water also generously sponsors the Hangtown, Washougal and Glen Helen MX Nationals.

Deluge Premium Spring Water is available in 20-ounce Sport Top bottles and 1-liter Sport Top packages and can be found at participating am/pm and BP convenience stores. Noteworthy: Deluge has sold in excess of one million bottles after being on the market for less than two months.
